Student Essay Contest

Announcing the First Annual Essay Competition on

‘’The State of the Rule of Law in Canada and internationally”

The ICJC announces the first annual “The State of the Rule of Law in Canada and Internationally” .This will be an annual essay competition for law students in Canada  sponsored by ICJC. The competition seeks to stimulate the production of inspiring and scholarly work on the critical foundation of the rule of law in Canada and around the world.

 A $500 Award for each of the best English and French essays.

Promotion to the Council of ICJC as a Youth Ambassador to ICJC.

The best articles may also be published in the National Journal of Constitutional Law.

Students have the flexibility to choose any range of issues related to the assigned topic and can focus either on issues related to Canada or to those relating to the rule of law internationally. The essay must be a legal article, no longer than 10,000 words and in 12 point font. The ICJC will grant two Awards, one for the best article in English and one for the best article in French

Deadline for all submissions should be January 30, 2019. The winners will be announced on April 30, 2019.
